About Me
My name is Marissa Whipple. I have lived in Baltic for 30 years with my parents, Rob and Deb, my two sisters Megan and Molly, and my brother Daniel. I attended school in Baltic from kindergarten to my senior year. While in school I was involved in volleyball, basketball, track, student council, FCCLA, band, and chorus.
After I graduated from Baltic, I attended the University of Sioux Falls. While at USF I competed on the track and field team as a thrower. I received the school record in the indoor shot put and the weight throw. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with a minor in reading.

This will be my eighth year of teaching. While at Baltic, I coached volleyball, basketball, and track. I am excited to start my eighth year at Baltic. Along with teaching this year, I will be coaching Junior High Volleyball, Junior High Track, High School Volleyball, High School Track, prom advisor, and the Educator's Rising advisor.
In my free time, I love to go see a movie with friends. I also love to work out, play volleyball, coach, and read. I enjoy spending time with my nephew, Grant, who is 7, and my nieces, Lauren, who is 4, Addisyn, who is 3 years old, and Wrenley who is 1 year old. Recently I got an Aussiedoodle, so miss Maggie Mae has been keeping me busy too.
I am excited to continue my teaching career as a teacher at the Baltic School District. If you have any questions, comments, and/or concerns please contact me at my email, marissa.whipple@k12.sd.us.
